3 Things To Help You Cope With Stress
Did you know that you can tell by your emotions if you are stressed out or if you are experiencing inner peace? If you are anxious or irritable those are signs of being stressed out while calmness and being relaxed are signs of experiencing inner peace. In this hub you will learn 3 simple actions that you can take that will show you how to cope with stress.The three simple steps are: 1) Get Focused 2) Get Organized and 3) Get Balanced
Step #1 Cope With Stress by Getting Focused
Having a focus will help you cope with stress better because you will have direction in your life, you can see clearly where it is that you are going, you can identify what you are going to need to get there, as well as how long it is going to take you to reach your objectives. When you have a focus you have a point of reference and a way to measure your progress. On the other hand, if you are living your life without focus then you do not know where you are going and you have no way to measure your progress. Not having a focus can be very stressful!
Step #2 Cope With Stress by Getting Organized
The way that you are going to get organized is by having goals to meet each of your objectives. Having order in your daily routine will help you to cope with stress
because you will know exactly what you need to do each day to meet your
objectives and how much effort you are going to need to stay on track. Also when you are organized and have goals you are able to see and measure your progress.
Step #3 Cope With Stress by Getting Balanced
You can easily get stressed out when you are spending too much time in one area of your life. You can cope with stress by spending an adequate amount of time in each of your focused areas. If you spend too much time in any one area of your life, you will see the signs. Signs of being stressed because you are not balanced are: you may be tired, cranky, feel anxious etc.
Exercise to Help You Cope With Stress
1. Identify all the areas in your life that you want to improve such as Spiritual, Health, Relationships, and Finance etc.
2. Place one focus area on each of your notebooks.
3.Personalize each of your notebooks by cutting out magazines pictures that corresponds with each area that you want to improve. If it is Health, cut out pictures of the foods that you should eat, exercise equipment, etc. and paste it on the cover of your notebook or on the pages in your note book.
4.Daily write in each of your notebooks, a “To do list” of things that you can do to make improvements in each area of your life. Make sure that your “To Do List” is something that you can realistically commit to.
5.Write down the times that you are going to commit to each of your focused areas. Example : Gym 1hr (M,W,Th) Library/Research 1hr(T,F)etc.
6. When you write down what day and what time you are committing to each of your focused areas that will help you to physically see how balanced you actually are and you can make the necessary adjustments you need in order to have a balanced life.
